I write to keep stories alive — for the young men and women finding their way, so they can feel their strength, know they are not alone, and recognize themselves as part of an unstoppable river. (Yes, River is the name of my main character — a little wink I couldn’t resist.)
I believe we should never be bound by the cage of our own mind. Our thoughts are boundless, and they hold the most powerful force to shape the world we live in.
Sometimes, I feel a sadness for the days before social media — when silence, connection, and wisdom came more easily. I know today’s youth grow up immersed in it, and that is the world they know. But I still hope they can pause to hear the echoes of their elders, to feel the grounding that only nature can offer.
We are told the future belongs to them, but the truth is that it is shaped by our shared memory, carried forward together. I’ve never stopped caring, never stopped building. Now, with my own hand and my own words, I write to connect us — so that maybe, through story, we can understand each other a little better.
For over 30 years, I worked in finance as a mortgage broker, honored to serve countless clients along the way. During that time, I also created the Women in Business Conference, an annual event near International Women’s Day that gathered up to 500 women to learn, connect, and inspire — until the pandemic brought it to a close.
Alongside my work, I wrote My Life Locker (sold the rights in 2016) and The Year of Living Gratefully, a guide to raising happier, more grateful children through the HGG System — Happy, Grateful, Great framework.
I was also blessed to tour across North America and Europe with some of the world’s leading thinkers and spiritual teachers.
And while life was full, I never stopped writing. Over the past seven years, I’ve poured my heart into my newest book — and now, at last, it’s finished.
